Seems I remember promising you all some Firefly Ship Works wallpaper a few weeks ago. While I’ve been enjoying the sights and sounds (and smells) of Comic-Con, I’ve been carrying the computer around, taking breaks at every opportunity to prep another image.
I think I’ve got all the requested screen sizes covered now, so without further ado, here’s the first, official Firefly Ship Works wallpaper. If I missed the best resolution for any of you Core-Techs, post a message here and I’ll get another prepped ASAP.
As for Comic-Con, here’s your official FFSW report on the best stuff we’ve seen at the show:
- Best Booth: Kotobukiya (love those new Iron Man statues);
- Best Table: California Browncoats (of course);
- Best T-Shirt: Dr. Horrible (again, of course);
- Best Comic-Con Exclusive: WETA’s little steam punk mini ray guns;
- Best Bag: Sci Fi’s Big Frakkin’ Bag;
- Best Cosplay: The Three Leias;
- Best Party: Diamond Select at Joltin’ Joe’s;
- Best You-Have-To-Sit-Through-A-Marketing-Speel-To-Get-It: The Watchman T-shirt;
- Best New Marketing Gimmick: All The “Tru•Blood” ads around the convention center (they looked like Miller Lite billboards);
- Best Random Happening: Nathan showing up at the Browncoat table and signing autographs for two hours, unannounced (even the organizers didn’t know he was coming)!

I love seeing the new stuff, and thanks for the update on the comic con.
Ooh! Shinies!
Wow. Is that just the outer hull? I can’t tell cause there are so many lines. How many faces does that have?
Wow, that is crazy, definitely Zoic’s version. Is there any way you can put up some solid shaded pictures?
Wow Andy, Thanks! I forgot all about this wallpaper. Nice little freebie from FFSW, and it looks great on my laptop.

Hi Chris – yep, that’s the outer hull. Like we’ve been saying, the movie version of the wireframes are *much* more complex than the TV version
Hi DV – well, actually, we’re working on some “hero” renders to put in a Serenity ship poster set. Stay tuned on that…
Ship poster set, count me in on that!
Awesome, thanks so much.
Ship poster set? You really spoil us!
Sweet! Thanks a ton! Any chance of getting some more wire frames from different angles?
Can’t WAIT for this replica!
*ahem*
*waits patiently for 1920×1200*
Actually, I don’t think that’s the Zoic model either. Is this the one by the guy from Thomas Models? It’s got some details that he had but the actual version from the movie didn’t, like the weird thruster thing on the top of the reactor manifold (as it’s called in the blueprints). and some ind of cannister near the end of the legs. There’s also a lot more rivets in that than what was seen in the movie.
Heya Scott – bottom image
Thanks Andy!
So sweet! Thanks for the goodie and wallpaper, guys! Are you going to be at Dragon*Con this year?
Hey there DV – nope, those wires are 100% Zoic and came straight from Loni and Kristen.
Klinqueen – I don’t think we’ll be making it to DC this year; we wanted to go, but they were sold out almost the minute the show closed last year so we couldn’t get a space
OOOOOOOOOOOOO! Purdy!
Thank you soooo much for this. I’ve just been looking for a decent background for my new install and this more than fits the bill
