Welcome to Shadow

The talented Mr. Adam Levermore has finished work on the first of five new Blue Sun Travel Posters we hope to have out in the Fall. And it seems fitting somehow that we start our adventure on Shadow where Captain Reynolds started his adventure.

For those of you who’ll be making it down San Diego way for Comic-Con next week, we’ll be offering 100 special prints of the Shadow poster at our booth (#A9). Special because these prints were created using a new digital printing process that adds subtle textures to the art. You gotta see it to believe it. And as we’re only offering these prints as a show exclusive, you’ll have to see them in San Diego. Adam will be around to sign your print if you like, making them even that much more special.

That may well be my favorite poster of all the travel posters Adam has created. A perfect blend of style and mood. Art should invoke an emotional response and this one certainly invokes.

  2. FireHawk says:

I LOVE it! This fits so well with the others in the series! I can’t wait to see the next four! @Andy – You mention that you’ll be in booth A9. Where is that in relation to the front entrances?

  3. FireHawk says:

@Admin/Andy – I found your booth on the 2009 Exhibitor’s hall map (http://comic-con.org/cci/forms/cci09exhib_map.pdf). QMx will be in area near the lounge area in the back of the Convention Center (the north-west side of the center, right?) near where the California Browcoats booth was last year. It’s off of aisle 300. Good location! I will see you there!!

  4. Lexigeek says:

@FireHawk: Yep, we’ll be right next to the CA Browncoats this year. See you there!

Beautiful! Reminds me that I still haven’t framed or hung the old set… or the blueprints.

Since this is debuting at SDCC, can we also expect some real juicy news about the Serenity model there as well? :)

Can you give us a hint what other locations you’re going to have. Also for those of us that are low on funds I’d love to see these posters made into wave cards like the original ones and just made in a pack of just the 10 places.

  7. RCloud7 says:

I hate to say it but any real Firefly fan knows that this poster would NEVER have existed since the planet Shadow was rendered uninhabitable during the Unification War. Mal is quoted as saying of it, “No one lives there. No one can.”

  8. admin says:

Unless, of course, the poster predates the war, which it does. There were Fireflies well before the war. Serenity’s model (Series 3) started being manufactured about 60 years before the time of the series/movie (2459) and there were two model lines before that.

  9. RCloud7 says:

Ahh touché, well played and fair enough my friend. That being the case it would make an even more valuable collecter’s item. Shiny.
