T-shirts, we love ‘em. Especially the secret-handshake type, the ones that have a special meaning to people “in the know”, but otherwise just look wicked awesome. Especially for us Browncoats, a Serenity T is like wearing a badge that says to other Browncoats, “Yeah, I love Firefly/Serenity, too.”
And for non-Browncoats, what better opportunity for a conversion when someone walks up and says, “Hey, nice shirt. What’s that from?”
Well, you can’t get much more authentic (or beautiful, for that matter) than designs from Serenity Graphic Designer Geoffrey Mandel. That’s why we were thrilled when Geoff agreed to design a series of shirts based on some of the amazing graphics he did for Serenity. The first three are approved and we just couldn’t wait to share them with you.
The shirts, in no particular order, are:
Blue Sun Grain Alcohol, Jayne’s favorite post-terrifyin’-adventure libation.
Earth That Was Old Kentucky Bourbon, for when your feelin’… nostalgic.
New For 2459! The Firefly brochure made famous in the Serenity Blueprints Reference Pack.
So, what’cha think? Like these designs? Like to see more? Any particular one you’d like to see first? Post a note here or come visit us on Twitter and Facebook and let us know what you think!

Love the shirts, esp. white w/blue sun. Pls. make sure to offer in women’s baby doll style, high-quality soft cotton if possible! Great work.
From here on out we will be always offering women’s sizes. And all our shirts are Gildan 100% 6.1 ounce cotton!
I love them. Some of my favorite designs.
I would also like to take this opportunity to reiterate my desire to see labels made of these that can be applied to bottles.

You were talking about his art, right? I mean…Geoff has nice calves and a boyish smile, but come on.
I like the designs, but there has to be a flashier way of portraying them on a shirt…
I mean, they’re just thrown on there… Great as posters or labels (for bottles), but to just slap them on a shirt isn’t the best thing that can be done with them. I think the design needs to be integrated onto the whole shirt somehow, not just a patch of it and the rest be white or brown.
Just my opinion, tryin’ to throw some new angles at some already great work!
Great designs! But how about adding the image of Serenity and specs which is on the top left of this page?
Love the designs! Agree with having them as women’s babydoll T-shirts!!! LOVE-LOVE!!
