> FX Friday: The J.J. Abrams’ Enterprise [Data Source: admin]
This probably seems off-topic, but really, it’s not: We just posted some nice studio shots of our replica of the new U.S.S. Enterprise from J.J. Abrams’ reboot of Star Trek, complete with videos of the lighting effects. If you want a little taste of what our girl might look like all dressed up and ready for the her coming-out shindig, this is worth a gander: www.qmxonline.com/startrek.
Hopefully, I’ll be able to tell you more very soon. Meanwhile, some shiny vids and photos will have to do

I just saw this over at http://scifiwire.com/2009/03/new-enterprise-models-go.php, and I was really hoping you’d post some more pictures. “Nice” describes it fairly well, actually.
I think I’ll add the word “impressive” though.

Great model of an unfortunately hideous design.

I’m not fond of the changes they made to the ship for the movie, but this looks to be a spot-on representation of it. I’m looking forward to seeing how Serenity will look all lit up.

I can’t wait to see the finished product, I just know it’s gonna be super expensive.

edit to that last post the price of that other scifi ship wasn’t unbearable, for some reason there’s a big difference ever $50 you add on, I think that for a ship and a base, a little over $100 is a reasonable splurge. Just remember that a lot of browncoats aren’t knocking back trading posts as a day job.
